My name is Alice and my fiance's name is Al. I have a 16 year old son, 1 dogs here on earth and 1 dog in Heaven (Sooner died April 1, 2009. She was 14 years old), and one cat. I love to cook, bake, garden, read, fish, camp, surf the internet, greet new members and make new friends. I collect elephants and Love all animals, especially dogs!
I have been in the trucking industry for approx. 20 years (administrative). I am a Certified Medical Assistant and graduated in the top 5% of my class. I am Spanish (from Spain), Irish and German.I was born and raised in Miami (Hialeah), FL and have lived in Clearwater, Largo, St. Petersburg, Tampa and Daytona Beach, FL and I have also lived in Hamilton, OH.
Al has been driving truck for about 32 years. He is currently hauling for Berger Allied Van Lines here in Lawrenceville, GA OTR. Al was in the United States Marine Corps and fought in Vietnam. He was a door gunner on a chopper. Active duty '72-'73. Al is American Indian and Irish. Al was born and raised in Pine Bush, NY. He's lived in Wallkill, Waldon, Walker Valley, Middletown and Goshen, NY. He's also lived in Ft. Lauderdale & Daytona Beach, FL. He was a police officer in the Village of Kiryas Joel in Monroe, NY and had a saw mill in Pine Bush.
All 3 of us and our dog are on the road 90% of the time since the moving industry is picking up. It's a hard life.....I don't have my CDL, but I am always right next to Al keeping him awake. Neither one of us get too much sleep and then we move people.....he and my son load/unload and I write up the inventory and do all of the paperwork. I keep all of our loads straight and hopefully answer any and all questions the shipper may have. |
