Going Broke on Fuel!
Hi!
I wonder what is going to happen with the fuel prices.
Larry just filled his tanks for a cost of nearly $700! Ouch!

I hear you girl. Bill went form North Carolina to LA and cost about 2230.00 in fuel. Guess I should stop thinking I will get any money form his fuel advances any more. All goes in the tank now, none to the household budget. Thank god we have no truck payment

Hi, Mary! Larry said to tell Bill that he feels for him and sure knows how ugly the meters on the fuel pumps look! He is planning on asking the new DM for a run that will take him past our place so he can finish off the Landstar paperwork and send it to them.
I told him what you said about the FSC and mileage rates and he perked right up!
He is in Avoca IA right now. I wish he was here now so I could grab that paperwork and mail it! LOL
Hugs to ya!

lower fuel prices?
there has been a slight decrease in fuel prices this week, which isn't great, but it's a step in the right direction.

Heck any decreased is a big help. I don't think we will ever see the fuel prices of the 80's again in our life. So I guess this makes the 80's the good old years. LOL

80s fuel prices??
if you're gonna dream, dream bigger. How about the fuel prices when I bought my first truck? .59 a gallon. Don't remember what it was when I started driving trucks. I do remember whining when it went up to .61 and having a total fit in Baltimore once cause it was .83 and it was higher than gasoline. ahhhhhhhh those were some good old days. the freight rates were about the same as they are now.
