Dodge toll roads, discourage new toll roads.
After reading on the OOIDA web page that "The Federal Highway Administration has given its initial endorsement to a proposal to convert Interstate 80 into a toll road in Pennsylvania" makes me more determined than ever to avoid toll roads. Toll roads violate our constitution by taxing interstate commerce. If us trucks avoid toll roads, we'll cause more traffic on the secondary roads, and keep revenue from going to the toll roads (which often just fund social programs). Also, the DOT then won't have receipts in which to find log book errors. Here, in the forum, I'd like us to share ideas and route that get us around these toll roads.
