Cheap Freight? Here's Why!

Have you ever looked on the load board and got frustrated at the low rates that you are seeing? Do you know why you are seeing these low rates? Brokers and shippers both know that there is somebody out there that will take their cheap load.

Detention Time?

For years and years, drivers have been complaining about detention time and wanting to charge shippers and receivers for the time they have lost just waiting.

Can you just charge a shipper or receiver for time spent waiting? Not really. Most shippers and receivers are going to tell you that they need 1-2 hours to load or unload you. So if you've been waiting for an hour and a half, don't think they are going to start paying you.

Well, here we are, just a few days away from that much needed extra day off...Labor Day!!

With it being a holiday weekend, have you noticed the freight rates going down? Holiday rates as they call them. freight brokers know that drivers need to get home, so they can drop rates and make a few extra bucks.
